What exactly are home inspections and are they really important? If so, what kind of inspections should you do? These are critical questions, and especially so if you are buying a home in New Orleans. Our homes have unique challenges here, from being built below sea-level, to termite swarms in the summer. The list of possible inspections can be endless though, and picking which ones to do that do not break the bank can be hard. The first thing you should consider is what is the overall condition of the home you are buying. Is it in excellent condition? Is it a fixer-upper that will need to be renovated?
