What exactly are home inspections and are they really important? If so, what kind of inspections should you do? Therefore, you may want to inspect it more than you would a home that needs work. I would always recommend a general inspection. A general inspection is done by a licensed and insured home inspector that does a overall inspection of the home. With their expertise and tools of the trade, a good home inspector can check for termites, roof damage, HVAC system, electrical, the gradient of the foundation, and more. A video pipe inspection is always a good idea too. These type of inspections will check the condition of the plumbing underneath the home. These repairs can be expensive, and the last thing you want is an expensive plumbing repair just when you start settling in. Therefore, get a reputable company to test your pipes.
